I’ve thought about the idea for this blog series for a while now, but I only realized earlier this afternoon that it really is today that I start my descent from one decade into a new one.
I’m not going to lie. There is no easy way to sugar coat this. I can not run from the truth, nor time.
I’m going to be thirty – and I couldn’t be less thrilled and at ease with this transformation.
I’ve gone out of my way for the last 345 days of the year to declare my age of twenty-nine because I knew time was ticking for the last year with that magical starting number to my age.
And with only 20 days left, you bet I’ll be amping that up to the max! There is no “almost thirty” …. (*cough* Mom!!!)
With that said, through these last twenty days of what was an incredible decade, I’ve decided to reflect on the things I’ve learned and those who helped me along the way.
Some may be sentimental; others may be the harder lessons learned (mostly the ones you laugh about well after the fact).
I’m not quite sure right now what I hope to accomplish over the next 3 weeks, but I’m confident something will be revealed through all of this.
So join me on my journey down the final stretch; join me in the tears, the laughs, and the trouble.
Here we go…
